Since the Spring Maternity showroom was having a sale, we thought it’d be good to get started on some baby shopping. Just a few basics first:
Got this Avent Manual Breast Pump bundle at a steal! For $89, we got the pump and freebies like a 9oz feeding bottle, baby shampoo and breast pads. Thought I’d start off with this first, before decided whether to get an electric pump. Was told that Medela is the best when it comes to electric pumps, so am trying to source for good deals online.
Oh, and to top up our purchase to at least $100, we got a set of 2 hooded baby bath towels with some froggy design! Gosh, I hope I’ll be able to bathe the baby on my own…looks kinda challenging.
Next on the list: Cot and a Quinny Zapp stroller which comes with the Maxi Cosi car seat π
Medela is pretty good – get the hands free one if you intend to pump when you return to work. (I actually think manual pumps aren’t that helpful but even I’m too new a mum to comment :))
Try getting the pumps from online sprees – much cheaper

Hi there…thanks for dropping by! It’s nice to chat with first-time mummies π
Yeah, I actually found an online store that sells Medela pumps at cheaper prices than the shops. Am planning to get the Medela Freestyle some time next month…and going for a final round of baby shopping at the Baby Market at Expo this coming weekend. Gosh…babies cost a lot don’t they :p
