I first got to know about SOSOON, the latest online store in Singapore, sometime last month.

This is what the main page of sosoon.com.sg looks like.

From what I know (and understand), SOSOON is a Singapore-based online shopping website that’s owned by Uitox Corporation – a global e-commerce corporation. Aside from SOSOON, the group also has online shopping businesses in other Asian countries under its care (feiniu.com that’s based in Shanghai, and ASAP that’s based in Taiwan).

SOSOON made its debut in Singapore on February 2014, so they’re relatively new. For now, you can expect to find items (at quite good prices) under the following categories on SOSOON: Home & Kitchen, Baby & Kids, Beauty, Clothing, Shoes, Bags, Electronics and Sporting. I’m not sure what’s the exact number of products that’s currently on the SOSOON online store, but what differentiates this from other online shopping stores (think, Qoo10, Baby Online and Zalora) is the fact that SOSOON promises to deliver your orders by the next day (regardless whether it’s a working day or weekend).

Testing it out

I wondered if this new online store would live up to their next day delivery promise. Through all my online shopping experiences (I do quite a lot of my shopping online these days, as I can’t exactly waltz in and out of shops like what I used to do before without thinking when my 1-year-old will start to get bored and make a fuss), the fastest delivery time that I’ve experienced took about 3 days, at best.

So, I decided to try it out myself (any excuse to shop is always welcomed!).

First, I made it the point to find out if there’s a minimum spend required in order to enjoy free delivery. Upon reading the FAQ page, it’s stated that all orders above $40 will be delivered for free. Orders below $40 will be charged a $5.50 delivery fee. Still very reasonable, in my opinion – other sites and blogshops would have charged almost double that amount for express delivery through courier.

I found out that the Tollyjoy baby dishwashing liquid was almost half of what I usually pay for. So, I got the pack of 4 bottles to keep stock at home – and added a nice top and accessory to complete my order.

Well, turns out my order did arrive the very next day! I placed and paid for my items on a Saturday night, and it got delivered to my address via TaQBin on the next day (Sunday) in the afternoon.

Some great surprises that SOSOON brings:

– You’ll get a $10 credit the moment you sign up for an account on sosoon.com.sg (I used this to offset my first purchase)

– Items bought from SOSOON comes with a 14-day ‘trial period’, so you can return them (in the original condition and packaging) during this period. All that needs to be done is to make a request under the Return/Cancel tab in your account and schedule for the items (placed in the box that it originally came in) to be picked up by the courier company.

Disclaimer: I did not receive any perks or monetary compensation from sosoon.com.sg for writing this post. Just thought I’d share my shopping experience with this new online store – because after all, good things are meant to be shared 🙂

Hope you enjoy shopping online on SOSOON as much as I did!
