As parents, we might tell our children that we love them – but how often do we let them know that we are proud of them? And do our kids know that mum and dad are indeed, proud of them?

For me, I usually praise Crystabel with a “Good job!” when she accomplishes something that is out of the norm, or when she does something for the first time, on her own. But I’m not too sure if she equates that phrase with me being proud of her. Or perhaps, she’s still too young to comprehend this at her age right now.

The more I think of this, I feel that we should go all out to celebrate our children’s accomplishments – be it big or small. After all, this will help to believe in their abilities and that they can do anything if they put their minds to it.

“I’m Proud of You” – A Champion Family Festival

It’s never too late to tell your children that you are proud of them for who they are and what they have achieved – and there’s no better time to do that than the upcoming Children’s Day this October!

“I’m Proud of You” is a champion family festival initiated by MindChamps with the aims of dedicating a day each year to provide parents a platform (read: give them a great reason) to appreciate their children’s little victories.

And all you mums and dads are invited to be part of this new global initiative!

Think of an indoor family festival (with the comforts of air conditioning, so there’s no need to feel hot and sticky) where children get to enjoy a host of activities organised just for them, such as pony rides, being entertained by roving jugglers, stilt walkers, and magicians, clambering over 6 larger-than-life inflatable obstacle courses and  marvelling at the delights of the night sky with the STARLAB Planetarium.

If you are keen to check it out, here are the event details:
